We designed a website design and logo for The Death Planner, an organization that helps people plan for their death in advance. We wanted to ensure that the website and its logo conveyed a sense of dignity and respect surrounding the topic. We used subtle colors like dark blue as well as rounded shapes to give the site a calming feel. In addition, we used white space strategically to create an open and welcoming atmosphere

The logo itself was equally thoughtful. It featured an iconic symbol of life – a butterfly – transitioning into something more ephemeral; it embodied the idea of transformation while still maintaining reverence towards life’s end. Lastly, we chose fonts that were sophisticated yet accessible so that users could easily read and understand information on the website without feeling overwhelmed.
